JOURNEY TO A DIFFERENT WORLD. - Describes a trip made to the United States by two young people from the most remote part of the Shetland Islands. The songs tell of the different experiences undergone by the young couple, Rita and Ben, from the excitement of their first heady days in New York to the time, when Rita's infatuation with a rich young lawyer, causes them to separate and pursue different routes to the golden state of California.

The second part of the album describes how the couple are ultimately reunited in a Mission Hospital after tragedy unfurls.
